Mental or psychological dependence can be described by the mental and emotional obsession for drugs pleasing effects. Mostly a person would crave more to recuperate the stimulation, euphoria, sense of well being, and other psychological pleasures from the drug. The psychological addiction also happens when one expands a lifestyle that would depend on the amount of drug used. The physical dependence would occur when the body regulates to the presence of a drug, so that the physical symptoms would involve discomfort and pain during the time the drug is being inhibited.
Abusing drugs is what drug abuse is all about. It is not important if they are illegal or a prescription. They are drugs and they are not being managed properly at the end of the day. The users would not wear a sign telling the world that they are on drugs and that they are drug addicts. But they still do show certain signs some of which are easily noticed while others may be a bit harder. When mood swing starts to appear at a regular frequency or a drastic loss of weight or even falling sick very often are signs of person using drugs or being a drug addict.
Now-a-days teenagers are more aware of drug abuse and maximum are not even researched upon. There have been surveys which state that for most kids drugs are now a turn off. The generation of the 1970's and the 1980's are still in the acceptance of marijuana and the children to these users are most likely to have them themselves.
Cocaine on the other hand was and still is considered as a drug option for the rich. Now society has found a new way of distributing it which is more potent and less expensive. This drug is known as crack and it is also killing the teenagers and youth adults alike. This is highly addictive and fatal as well. The strength would draw the potential user in and since it is not that expensive the people are able to obtain it as well. Maximum look forward to their very first high that they would achieve using crack which is another form of cocaine.
Recently a drug gained its popularity even though it has been around since the 1950's and 1960's. It has a medical term called the methamphetamine but if looked for on the street it goes by many names. These names can be uppers, speed, and black beauties for the past but in today's time it is more known as ice or even glass. The symptoms from a drug overdose can be fast or irregular breathing or panting, or even an abdominal heartbeat. The user tends to become confused and even aggressive mostly because they are in a state of shock or panic or are suspicious. Vomiting and diarrhea are the physical signs.
This drug doesn't just affect the brains of a human being but also the other vital organs. It affects the heart by making it pump faster than its normal rate of pumping. Over a period of time it would destroy the liver and kidneys which are the filters of the human waste, urinating and bowel moments.
