Weight Loss - Losing Weight Without Dieting

Most of the people want to know how to go about losing weight without dieting. Dieting is normally the best way to lose weight rapidly. However, this process is usually the hardest way to follow for most of the people. It is hard to give up the favorite foods or eat less.

In fact technically losing weight is simple. One just needs to cut his daily intake of calories and exercise more. When the organism finds it cannot extract the necessary energy from the food body consume, it will start burning the fat deposits in waist and other parts of the body. So, the most natural way to lose weight is to keep to a diet, which reduces the energy people consume and do regular exercises to burn energy.

Though this approach to weight loss is most natural and healthy, it is not easy. No wonder that a lot of supposed weight loss pills were developed, which make it easier to lose weight. One of the most popular categories of these pills is fat blockers and fat binders. They work by reducing the amount of fat that the organism assimilates from foods. Fat blockers, the most well-known example is Orlistat, marketed as Xenical, in particular inhibit the lipase enzyme in the intestines which breaks up fat making it ready for metabolism. As a result, the fat cannot be absorbed completely by the organism so it passes freely through the bowel. Fat binders work by binding to the fat molecules, again making it unabsorbable by the intestinal tract. Fat blockers and binders have very nasty side effects such as uncontrollable foul-smelling anal discharges. Naturally one cannot expect that removal of fats from his or her diet in such a way will be healthy.

Starch foods not only encourage a greater release of insulin into the blood stream, but also stimulate the release of serotonin, a feel good chemical, that also makes the body to feel relaxed and calm and this is another reason why many people tend to binge on high-sugar/high carbohydrate foods when they feel stressed or depressed. Protein conversely prevents the release of serotonin, and the concentration of amino acids also fuels the brain and improves concentration and focus. Eating high concentration of protein in the evening can thus impede with sleep patterns, as the brain becomes too active.

Hence, consuming protein foods during the day and starchier carbohydrates in the evening makes sense. This does not necessarily mean a low carbohydrate approach, as much as a lower starch approaches. Consuming moderate sugars during the day in the form of fibrous vegetables or non starch, fruits preferably lower sugar fruits, and salads in combination with protein foods including dairy and nuts is preferred, allowing for a moderate, balanced intake of starch in the evening.

It is obviously not advisable to over-consume starch in the evening as the idea is to limit the overall intake of starch, but in a logical, practical way. This approach to eating in non-restrictive and sustainable, and also allows for eating out at almost any restaurant without needing to adjust any menu item. Another weight loss supplement is appetite suppressants. They reduce the appetite by making the organism think it is already full.
