Hence genetic factors can incline you towards obesity even if sufficient calories are present in the body. Thus there are some people who tend to get obese of fat if the favorable environmental conditions are present. Medical and psychiatric illnesses are also causes of obesity and there are various pharmaceutical substances, used for treating illnesses, which can increase risk of obesity. Some of the rare genetic syndromes like hypothyroidism, Cushing's syndrome and hormone deficiency also cause obesity.

If you are getting obese then you would be able to see the changes in your body as your clothes would get tighter and the measuring tapes and checking your weight would also show results. Remember that the sooner you begin your treatment for obesity, the better it is for you.
