Young children nowadays like to eat junk food like popcorn, pizza and burgers more than ever before. They eat hamburgers and French fries in more and more amount often more than their parents and grandparents. These young children rarely eat fresh whole fruits and vegetables that are so important to their growth. The children eat and drink a great amount of sugar component in the course of each day. They eat ice cream and jellies that commonly lead to their higher rate of obesity. They also drink soda waters like pepsi and coca cola that have huge amounts of sugar calories and less nutritional value. The obese children today spend too much time playing computer games and watching television sets. They do not ride their cycle and bikes or play a sport outside after school as much as their parents and grandparents. Sometimes obese children are given lots of homework and do not have enough time to go out and play with their friends. At their school, the academics take the place of some of the time that they have to go out and run around. So the schools of these children should give only reasonable amount of homework to its students so as they can get time for playing. Also there should be specific time periods in their school, which should be allocated to sports and physical education.
