These dogs are usually the happiest when they have a task to do.

This can be a job like herding or agility or any of the other active occupations and since these dogs don't exercise on their own the masters have to take them for these exercising programs. If these dogs are allowed to laze around too much and their regular shares of exercises are not given to them then it can lead to various kinds of health problems including hair loss. The problem of hair loss in this breed can be due to a great deal of inactive periods that the dog is provided with. Hence you should ensure that your dog gets ample activity during the period.

Hair loss in this breed can also be due to various kinds of internal problems and it has been seen that this hair loss is on various parts of the body especially the back and neck although many people complain of hair loss around the eyes also. In such cases it is best to take your dog to the vet so that you can get to the root of the problem and treat the same. The hair loss can also be harmful for you and it is best to regularly brush your dog for avoiding this problem.

There are various kinds of medications available for treating these problems but they require a certain amount of time.
