Eating Disorders Problems

Due to the lack of correct information about eating habits and healthy and nutritious food, most people are becoming prone to various kinds of eating disorders. These eating disorders can lead to a number of problems for your health and body and thus these should not be ignored or taken lightly. It has been seen that these eating disorders are usually the results of fad diets, which provide wrong information to users about losing weight and thus results in different ailments also.

These eating disorders can lead to various kinds of mental and physical health issues and thus the person suffering from the same has to be subjected to medicines and other kinds of therapies. Eating disorders can be the result of physiological and psychological problems also and one of the major causes of these eating disorders is due to the feeling of obesity and being over weight. The feeling of being overweight should not lead to starvation and if your BMI shows that you are obese then you need to eat healthy and reduce junk foods.

Not eating at all and reducing all foods, which may also be healthy, from your diet is not the solution. Studies have proven that these health problems take a long time to heal and some of the most common forms of eating disorders are anorexia and bulimia. There are various other kinds of eating disorders also but these two have been recognized as the most common forms of disorders. Eating disorders are caused due to mental illness that leads to various kinds of physical problems.

Since the body needs adequate nourishment for its regular functions, the lack of the same can have an adverse effect on the health. All forms of eating disorders can only lead to demerits and there are no benefits like weight loss, which one can get from these kinds of disorders. There are psychologists who have proven that eating disorder is a mental illness that affects a person's eating habits in a way that it drastically disturbs the physical health of that person.

Studies and different researches by psychologists have shown in-depth analysis on various types of eating disorders like Anorexia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, Beriberi, Bulimia Nervosa, Hyperphagia, Kleine-Levin Syndrome, Rumination, Orthorexia, and Pica. These studies prove that once a person is affected by eating disorders, normal consumption of food is obstructed. Hence the lack of food to the body leads to health problems and even gain of weight in the long run.

Since body image becomes the primary obsessions for these kinds of disorders, there are very high risks of death due to malnutrition and eating disorders are not to be taken for granted and professional help should be taken. Also starvation like anorexia may lead to severe weight loss initially but once the person resumes regular eating the body gains back the lost weight.

Some of the most common problems experienced due to these eating disorders include fatigue and tiredness, which are followed by illnesses due the immunity levels of the body going down and the person succumbs to various kinds of diseases.
