Eating disorders of any kind can only lead to negative effects and the temporary enthusiasm of weight loss and looking thinner, actually turn out to be a bane in the long run. It has been seen that these eating disorders can ruin your internal system along with creating a terrible impact on your skin, face, body and internal organs. Hence eating disorders can only lead to diseases and other mental problems, which may turn fatal in the long run.
Men and women are affected by eating disorders, although it has always been assumed that women get affected by the same more. Any kind of an eating disorder can be a big threat to your health and body. So you should try and deal with the same with care and caution. Any eating disorder would eventually lead to various kinds of mental and physical health problems. These eating disorders can be of various kinds and these are regarded as fatal in the long run.
Basically these eating disorders make the internal system very weak and they make the body prone to various diseases. Some of the major causes of these eating disorders include feeling of obesity and being over weight, which lead to reduction in food intake and the ability of the body to stay without food for days. These are health problems that often take a long time to heal. Some of the most common eating disorders like anorexia and bulimia can actually be fatal.
Hence the person who is suffering from these kinds of diseases should try and get help from the same instead of enjoying the pleasures of short term weight loss. These eating disorders are also caused due to mental illnesses and they may also lead to mental illnesses if they are not treated on time. Our body needs adequate nourishment for survival and for this it consumes various forms of foods. But the lack of the same can have an adverse effect on the health and thus eating disorders can only lead to demerits and there are no benefits from them.
Eating disorders can cause further damage to your health and this can be fatal if not treated on time. Many psychologists state that an eating disorder is initially a mental illness but this can also affect a person's eating habits. These eating habits are influenced in a way that it drastically disturbs the physical health of that person. Anorexia Nervosa, Beriberi, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, Hyperphagia, Kleine-Levin Syndrome, Rumination, Orthorexia, and Pica are some of the most common types of eating disorders.
But amongst the above mentioned disorders the most common ones, which affect people include Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa. In eating disorders, normal consumption of food is obstructed and the problem should be treated immediately. The individuals afflicted with eating disorders go through severe psychological suffering and here their food, diet, and body image become the primary obsessions and these are the underlying causes for these kinds of disorders. Thus any symptoms of these eating disorders should not be considered lightly and need to be treated on time.
