List Of Diseases Caused By Smoking
There are lists of diseases, which are caused due to smoking and hence there are no positive affects of smoking for the body. There are no doubts that smoking has many health risks and absolutely no health benefits but people continue to smoke. This happens due to the habit of getting addicted to nicotine. Smoking results in various kinds of problems like premature skin wrinkles, bad breath and smell of smoke from the body. It also causes yellow hair and yellow fingernails and increases the risk for macular degeneration, blindness for the elderly and other related diseases.
The fact that smokers are fully aware of the devastating effects that smoking has on the body but still don't quit smoking is a very unfortunate fact. The smokers cough is the worst problem that most smokers suffer form and most smokers try to hide it. Basically this cough is actually a reflex reaction by the body, where it is trying to get rid of the poisonous fumes you are inhaling on a daily basis. These coughs are the results of the lungs trying to expel chemicals in tobacco smoke.
Apart from this smoking also leads to stained teeth and it has been seen that most people get smoked teeth after they smoke for a number of years. The habit of smiling with my mouth closed in most smokers due to the stained teeth. Basically a lot of smokers do this and though you can get your teeth whitened easily these days, the problem continues to persist, if you continue to smoke. Apart from this yellow fingers are the same problem as stained teeth and occur in most of the smokers.
The shortness of breath is another problem that the regular or chain smokers experience as the lung capacity is reduced by smoking. Hence if smokers are doing exercises or trying to do vigorous walking, then they find that they are unable to hold their breaths for a very long time. There are also circulation problems experienced by smokers as the blocked arteries reduces blood flow and they tend to feel the cold more, especially in my feet.
Smoking also leads to varicose veins and impotence and hence the problem should be dealt with care and caution. Most of the smokers have a grey complexion and this can be seen in a heavy smoker from the way their skin looks. Grey and paler skins are the symptoms of a chain smoker and smoking makes your skin age quicker. Then smokers also experience the lack of energy and gradually they are unable to perform simple exercises and chores.
The experience of dry mouth is also very common in smokers and this usually happens when they get up. In the morning hours the mouth of the smokers feels like sandpaper. The smokers also gradually lose the ability to smell things properly and even their taste buds don't work like they used to. Their taste of food and drinks seems to fade away gradually and they are unable to smell these things properly. Smoking also leads to life threatening diseases like cancer, heart attacks, TB, and various other similar ailments.
