Treatments For Disability

Disability can be defined as the non capacity of a normal person or inability to perform some activities due to impairment. Thus disability can be mental or physical and hence it effects on the mind and the body also varies. To get the right treatment for the treatment of these disabilities it is essential that an understanding of the problem should be there. Disabilities can be further categorized into acquired and developmental and the person can be stated as disabled depending on these conditions.

It has been seen that not all forms of disabilities provide disadvantages to the person and if the disability is minimal then it can provide added benefits. Basically most of the disables are usually treated as outsiders in the society because of the notion that they cannot do anything or perform regular activities. But the problem of disability has affected the society much like racism and it should be remembered that the people suffering from these problems are not outsiders but normal people with slightly weakened minds and physical states.

There are basically two main types of disabilities and this includes the physical disability, which involves impairment of a limb or organ and some of these include blindness, cripple, polio etc. The acquired disability is a permanent impairment experienced as a result of an accident or mishap and this may not have been present at the time of birth. There are also various forms of developmental disability, which is the impairment that one either is born with or acquires it but the same usually happens before the age of 22.

The mental disability refers to the conditions of mental retardation or mental deficiency which is the disorder of the brain and can lead to improper or abnormal reactions and moods. Different kinds of treatments available for the developmental abilities and there are some which are especially focused on the right care for children. It should be remembered that the blaming vaccines as the cause of autism is not correct because there are some studies seem to indicate that ultrasounds during pregnancy might also be a real problem.

There are various researches that prove that ultra sounds effect brain cells as they are forming in the beginning and even the slightest problem could cause them to fail. This happens because sound echoes inside the womb and heats up the unborn fetus, which is otherwise protected against about everything and thus under-stimulation of the cerebellum and thalamus affects both executive and motor functions and thus cerebellum and thalamus are under-stimulated.

Various kinds of disabilities are also working in a fully coordinated way and to think and process information in optimal ways and thus interrupts with the normal functioning of the disabilities. There are treatments like cognitive training, which is considered as one of the therapies or treatments for these kinds of problems. These is suggested because many children with problems are receiving extra help through tutoring and most of these children have been usually placed in special education classes or are on medication and most of the times these remedies are not producing permanent results that parents and teachers had expected.
