Books On Disability

Disability is usually defined as the problem which occurs in conducting an activity and there are various options of learning and applying knowledge, for general tasks and demands, mobility, communication, interpersonal interactions and relationships and other major life areas. People who are suffering from these kinds of disabilities have physical or mental impairment and these also affect their daily activities or limit their performance in these daily activities. It is vital to understand the problem of these disabilities to fully treat them and combat the problems related to various kinds of disabilities and also for helping those suffering from it.

There are various kinds of books and information available on these kinds of disabilities and they also help to provide an insight on the various kinds of heath related and mental problems of disabilities. Most books define disability as the non capacity of a normal person or inability to perform some activities due to impairment ad these can be mental or physical. Hence it affects the mind and the body and getting the right treatment for the treatment of these disabilities is essential and an understanding of the problem should be there.

These kinds of disabilities can be further categorized into acquired and developmental and the person can be stated as disabled depending on these conditions. But it should be remembered that not all forms of disabilities provide disadvantages to the person and if the disability is minimal then it can provide added benefits. Also it has been seen that most disables are usually treated as outsiders in the society because of the notion that they cannot do anything or perform regular activities.

However the problem of disability has affected the society much like racism and people suffering from these problems are treated like outsiders but they are actually normal people with slightly weakened minds and physical states. It has been seen that there are basically two main types of disabilities and this includes the physical disability. In this kind of disability there is an impairment of a limb or organ and some of these include blindness, cripple, polio etc. The acquired disability is a permanent impairment experienced as a result of an accident or mishap.

This may not have been present at the time of birth and there are also various forms of developmental disability, which is the impairment that one either is born with or acquires it but the same usually happens before the age of 22. Researches have proven that mental disability refers to the conditions of mental retardation or mental deficiency, which is the disorder of the brain and can lead to improper or abnormal reactions and moods. Most of these treatments available for the developmental abilities are especially focused on the right care for children.

However blaming vaccines as the cause of autism is not correct because there are some studies seem to indicate that ultrasounds during pregnancy might also be a real problem. It has been proven that ultra sounds effect brain cells as they are forming in the beginning and even the slightest problem could cause them to fail and the reason for the same is because the sound echoes inside the womb and heats up the unborn fetus.
