To build fast muscles, one must follow a well balanced and protein-based diet and follow a workout program along with it. So, food intake is necessary just 2 hours before the exercise routine. Because, this would produce the energy that the body would require. So a person should take food rich in carbohydrate too, like pulses, whole grain, pastas, brown rice and etc.

A person should drink at least 8 glasses of water everyday. As water flushes out all the waste and toxins from the body and helps to build tissues and cells in the body. Avoid consumption of tea, coffee and aerated drinks as these kill the thirst for water and slow down the process of muscle building.
