Dealing with strict managers or supervisors, chances of a demotion, whether people can get their job done on time and ultimately, the fear of getting fired can really give every worker something to be anxious about. In any type of workplace, there is an existing system that people are forced to adhere to. These may include several rules, regulations and office policies. Sometimes stress or anxiety is brought about the fact that there may be some conflict of interest between doing what people think is right and what the present system dictates. This may also be further illustrated when the workers have to deal with various customers or with their relationship with their co-workers. It is common human nature to ease their own anxiety, either by adapting or leaving their workplace.

The first step in combating mental stress or anxiety is to accept that people are undergoing such stage. No matter how others or the society might judge them, seeking professional help is greatly recommended. People can also effectively lessen their stress or anxiety with physical workouts. Studies show that deep breathing exercises using the diaphragm muscle can lessen anxiety. Yoga is also the most effective popular and unconventional way of managing anxiety. It allows adequate oxygen to circulate efficiently inside the brain and this can help people to relax and think more clearly. People can also try simple steps in eliminating their mental anxiety. The first thing to do is to jot down their mental strengths and their weakness; they need to focus on their goals and point out what they can do to achieve them.
