Cause To Anxiety
Anyone that has ever experienced an anxiety attack understands the fear, dread and terror that they can cause. Most people feel anxious at some time; however those that suffer from Generalized Anxiety Disorder or who do have anxiety attacks have stronger fear, feelings and physical symptoms as well.
Common physical symptoms include hyperventilating, sweating, intense feelings of fear and impending death, rapid heart beat and dizziness. The causes of stress and anxiety attacks are many and most of them are typically due to some type of underlying issues. Prolonged stress, depression, or a sudden catastrophe can cause anxiety attacks.
People who are unfamiliar to anxiety attacks may simply believe that they are only slight feelings of stress or the blues. In fact the anxiety attacks go beyond feelings. The human body actual begins to react to the stress that a person feels. The body has a built in fight-or-flight system that is designed to help individuals flee from any kind of danger. When it is activated it results in a surge of adrenaline, shallow breathing and sweating and dizziness among other symptoms. When these physical symptoms occur without any obvious reason, they can be terrifying.
The causes of anxiety attacks can differ for each person. Some people will have these types of attacks due to prolonged depression, stress and sudden negative experiences. Because the reasons differ for each person so will the appropriate treatments. For many individuals, anti-depressant and anti-anxiety medications will be very effective in treating anxiety attacks. Anti-anxiety medicines tend to work pretty well and they get in the system very quickly. These types of medicines can begin working with a few hours. They typically help to quickly treat the symptoms associated with stress and anxiety attacks.
These often include difficulty breathing, sweating, feelings of impending death and/or doom and dizziness. While medicine is often prescribed, there are other ways to treat anxiety. While medications can help persons that have stress and anxiety problems due to brain chemistry imbalances or who have very severe cases, they don't work well for everyone. Counseling and simply decreasing the stress in one's life can also help to lessen the instances of stress and anxiety attacks.
The causes of anxiety attacks vary from person to person. As a result, the treatments should vary as well. Therapy, medication and self-care are all common ways to deal with this asthmatic condition. The most popular ways to treat anxiety attacks include medications, therapy, as well as learning breathing techniques to help quell the attacks. If people are having a great number of anxiety attacks, it is important to visit their physician or their mental health professionals to come up with a plan of attack. They may also be able to help people identify the root of their anxiety and subsequently work with them to properly treat. Today people are working longer hours each day at their jobs than they used to, traffic is getting unbelievably congested when commuting to and from work, and bills are getting more difficult to pay causing stress on families. Not to mention demands on the social culture and environment to eat the best they can, and look the best we can.
